All in the Details : Country Chic | Walla Walla Wedding Photographer
When I was asked to shoot my first wedding in the winter of 2013, the quick response was....YES, I WILL! But wait...and then the anxiety set it, then excitement and even fear but I had to try it, I would never stop thinking about "what if" if I didn't! Fast forward to Spring of 2013....and so far, I have to say...I'M HOOKED! I contacted one of my fave wedding photographers and asked her if I could assist her in any weddings this Spring/Summer. I was in luck! I was invited to second shoot this wedding in College Place, WA and I got to shoot along side Melissa McFadden who I think so highly of and admire. When I threw it out there and asked her if I could lend a hand, she not only said "yes" but shared valuable hands on information and insight into her experience as a photographer and was and continues to be so willing to answer my questions, she's amazing!
This wedding was nothing far from darling, cute, sweet and romantic, with a touch of sophisticated country chic, I loved it! I could tell the bride had a vision of what her wedding was going to be, and all the little details showed just that, which is what I got to capture and then some! Although I didn't get to know the couple too much myself, it was evident in the way they put this event together and the way they looked at each other that their love was built on something amazing!
As the second shooter, I focused on the details, the "behind the scenes" moments at times that often might get overlooked. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't petrified to share these images, in hopes they would be worthy of sharing with the client, but I'm really happy with the way these turned out, and the client was happy to boot! They tell the story of the day just as I hoped for, pure and beautiful.
And then this happened....I melt!
All in all, it was a beautiful day to celebrate love and I can't wait to be a part of more memories for people to come!
Thank you Emily and Nathaniel for allowing me to be a part of this special day for you and to Melissa for teaching me and giving me the opportunity to learn and fall in love with my "hobby" even more!!
