Beach, Boats & Bikes Engagement Photos : Beth + Jason | sandpoint idaho engagement session wedding photographer
Sparks flew as they boarded the chartered yacht for an unforgettable eveni.......OH WAIT. Ok so there were certainly sparks, and it MOST definitely was unforgettable, but by "chartered" I mean through all the nerves leading up to this moment, luck was on my side and the kindest of people were abound, everything went off without a hitch and we had a ball at this beautiful Sandpoint Idaho engagement session.
Let me just preface by saying I live in an absolute beautiful little corner of the US with top notch sorta peeps! When my friend asked me to be her wedding photographer, knowing I hadn't ventured into photographing weddings just yet, I was elated, a bit scared and yet somehow completely at ease because I knew Beth would be the most beautiful, kind and relaxed bride and once I met her main squeeze Jason, I was in!
Beth an amazing fashion designer and Jason an at risk social counselor, these 2 are crazy in love and it shows. I mean who wouldn't want a guy who describes the perfect date with his fiance as "Cleaning the house before she comes home, bake a salmon filet for dinner, eat dinner with no puppy interruptions, and watch movie films while snugging her respectfully."
By sea and by land, together Beth and Jason spend time together sharing the same passions in life and I love how it played out in our session together.
I'm incredibly honored to have spent the afternoon with Beth and Jason...such a great couple and I can't wait for their wedding. They promise a good time, and I'm sure there will be dancing and good times to be had!
Jason and Beth made it easy to be inspired to choose this location for their engagement session...Both love the water and nature, and met on the ski hill nearby so we started the session on the lake (no, not a yacht, but a beautifully crafted sailboat, that was borrowed from a perfect stranger but, the nicest gentleman at the marina who let me talk him into even giving us a ride!) with the trees and mountains as our backdrop and later the amazing sunset, I was in photo heaven and it was beyond beautiful!
Oh Beth, you are stunning. Truly!
After the boat ride, we headed to the beach, a place Beth and Jason share their memory of their engagement at (but in Costa Rica) and they love riding their cruisers around too. Too cute, right?!
Once we avoided the parking tickets none of us knew we would be up against and the cranky park manager (funny story that I will always remember but too silly to mention anymore of) ...the clouds opened up and the evening ended with the most beautiful of sunsets! (and a most delicious dinner I shared with these two to follow at a nearby restaurant on the lake too, yum!!) Thank you guys so much, so happy for you and your love and can't wait for your big day! :)
